Andrea is a RYT 500 Yoga Teacher and Educator. She teaches vinyasa, yin, restorative, prenatal, postnatal, and yoga nidra in group classes, in private settings, and online.

Since she completed her 200-hour program in 2016, she has amassed over a thousand hours in education, training, and teaching, led workshops, and assisted teacher trainings.

my style and philosophy

Every class I teach is a journey back to the first class I ever took. On a whim, I signed up for a class at a no-frills, two-room studio around the corner from my college apartment. The class was equal parts fun and challenging. I instantly felt safe there, even though I had no idea what I was doing. The teachers were warm and welcoming to everyone, regardless of “level.” I left class with an overwhelming sense of peace.

Yoga should be fun. It should be challenging. It should prepare you for savasana and bring you closer to enlightenment. And most importantly, it should be for everyone.

As a teacher, provide a safe, enriching environment that holds space for laughter, focus, and introspection. I’m a nerd for sequencing and alignment, and I seamlessly incorporate props and variations. Every pose looks and feels different on every body. We as teachers should celebrate the differences in our students instead of making them fit a certain mold.
